We are heartbroken to have to share that the Ridgefield Theater Barn lost one of its family members this weekend when our beloved colleague and friend, Maryann Arcoleo Koltun, passed away.
Maryann was a professionally trained actress, and excellent director. She had an artists eye and was known for her loving supportive approach in her direction. Most recently she helmed the critically-acclaimed production of Body Awareness in June 2017, but Barn regulars will also remember other excellent shows she directed, including Moon for the Misbegotten and a black box production of Oleanna.
Maryann had a very notable laugh, and we always knew when she was in the audience. She brought energy and fun to every endeavor she was involved with. She was sassy and smart and her quick wit and keen insight will be deeply missed, not only in the Artistic Committee where she served for over 10 years, but at the Barn as a whole.
