Monthly Comedy Improv Jams
Next Jam on Wednesday, July 15

Jump into the fun at RTB’s Improv Jams!

Whether you’re an experienced improviser, a curious beginner, or someone who just misses getting to play, our monthly Improv Jams are a relaxed, welcoming chance to practice, connect, and laugh with other creative people.

Jams are in the Black Box (downstairs entrance) drop-in and meet at 7:00pm on the second Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Doors open at 6:30pm, so come, settle in, and say hello. The focus is simple: play, growth, connection, and a whole lot of “yes, and.”

Bring a friend, come solo, meet new people, and join us in RTB’s Black Box Theater.

Suggested donation: $5.

Led by Upright Citizen’s Brigade and PIT-trained improviser and performer Rick Hodder, these nights are designed to keep your improv skills up, flex your comedy muscles and have fun with your local improv community. Rick will take us through a series of exercises, theater games and various improv forms. Open to all levels of experience.

Rick Hodder is an improviser, teacher, director, and longtime member of the Ridgefield Theater Barn community. Trained through Upright Citizens Brigade, Gotham City Improv, and Magnet Theater, Rick brings a deep understanding of both short-form and long-form improv to his classes. He has coached and directed RTB’s in-house improv troupe, The Role in the Hay Players, and is known for creating a welcoming, energetic classroom where students can build confidence, sharpen their instincts, and learn to think quickly on their feet. His teaching emphasizes play, collaboration, listening, and the joy of saying “yes, and” — helping performers of all experience levels become more creative, connected, and fearless.
