Join us for a special night of stand-up as the Ridgefield Theater Barn brings together professional comedians and audience favorites from our popular Open Mic series.

Emceed by Blaine Langberg, the Showcase will be headlined by Annie Powell, with featured comic Calvin Cato and special guest Peter Khoo.

Annie Powell, a regular headliner at the iconic Nick’s Comedy Stop in Boston began her stand-up career in Los Angeles before returning home to New England, where she has become a familiar presence on the regional comedy scene. Performing everywhere from comedy clubs and theaters to casinos—and even the occasional funeral—Powell brings a raw, unapologetic style and a knack for finding humor in life’s most absurd moments.

Calvin Cato has been named one of Time Out New York’s LGBTQ Comics of Color to Watch and has appeared on or contributed to projects for Oxygen, Netflix, SiriusXM, RISK! and WIRED. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Brooklyn Pride and FlameCon, among others.

Peter Khoo is a New York City-based stand-up who performs regularly at Gotham Comedy Club and has appeared at comedy clubs throughout the city. A finalist in the 2024 Hudson Valley Comedy Festival, Khoo has also been selected for multiple comedy festivals and frequently headlines shows presented by the American Comedy Institute.

The evening will also feature the winners of our recent Stand-Up Open Mics: Maggie Lindrooth, Matt Orefice, Barry Schaffer, and Darla Shaw, each returning to the Barn stage after being selected as an audience favorite.

Come see some of the standout performers from our Open Mic series share the stage with seasoned comics from the New York and New England comedy scenes—all in one night.

As always, seating is cabaret-style and audiences are welcome to bring their own food and beverages. Concessions are also available.
