It’s 2025 and 16-year-old Hope Harris is doing a school project about 16-year-old Sybil Ludington and her 1777 ride, but historians and a boy in her class don’t believe it happened. Sybil’s story was forgotten for over one hundred and thirty years until her great nephew mentioned it in a biography about her father, Colonel Henry Ludington, a great American patriot, whose troops joined other regiments to push the British back during the Battle of Ridgefield.
Historians discredit Sybil’s ride saying there’s little written proof except for the oral history passed down by her relatives….but Hope believes it DID happen! What happens when Hope & Sybil’s stories intertwine?
This beautiful, world premiere play with puppets is a co-production of The Ridgefield Theater Barn and Feisty Elephant Productions,
