Sometimes the unexpected is even more fun than the best-laid plans. Iris, her family, the neighbors, and dog take a road trip to the lake. But first, the cars break down. Then they get lost. And when they finally arrive at the lake, they see a "No Dogs Allowed" sign. What to do? Iris's family's make-do attitude saves the day, for as they go about their beach activities while trying to figure out what to do with the dog, each takes a turn taking care of the dog. Soon the day is over, and the dog, who never left the parking lot, has had the best time of all -- the beach had been brought to him.
Exciting News! Sonia Manzano will be present at the Theater Barn production of No Dogs Allowed on Saturday, April 17th between the 10:AM and 1:30PM performances for a book-signing event where children can meet her in person!

The Ridgefield Theater Barn presents three performances of Breakfast with Bears—first of our new season productions designed specifically for pre-school and elementary school audiences. This production will feature local actors, providing the best in local theater for young audiences.
Breakfast with Bears is a family sing-along: cabaret style. So bring your favorite teddy bear and a grizzly-sized appetite! Connecticut actress, producer and storyteller Missy Slaymaker-Hanlon leads the fun with bear stories, bear songs, and maybe even some bear guest appearances. Included in the ticket price are bagels, doughnut holes, coffee and juice for the humans - maybe some porridge for the bears!

The internationally-renowned mask/movement troupe from Bethlehem, Connecticut performs original theater pieces with special emphasis on the mask and puppet. The company has performed on four continents for over a million people since 1980! Mask, mime, movement, music, speaking characters, and the "never-knowing- what-to-expect-next" anticipation makes these performances an experience you will talk about long after you leave the theater.
ANIMAN PLUS...
Performed by Larry Hunt and Adelka Polak.
Animan Plus is the title of this masked performance which has something for everybody and possibly everything for somebody. You will see animals which are identifiable and some which are up to you, masks that change expressions but are only three inches in length, characters which resemble the human and possibly someone you know intimately, (we won't ask).
Masks, mime, music and metaphors galore combine with illusions which are literally inside out, upside down, and backwards. Most of the work is non-verbal which allows performances all over the world. If you think you have seen masks by looking at them in museums, think again. The "life" of the mask is witnessed only in a live performance.

ALL PERFORMANCES ARE SOLD OUT
