These are exciting times at the Theater Barn and we’d like to invite you to be a part of them!
We are thrilled to be such a successful volunteer-based organization, but due to audience and patron interest, the time has come to expand our programming and space, and transition our organization so that it can happily satisfy those increasing demands.
We are poised for some very exciting changes, including additional classes, workshops, productions, and kids’ programming, but we need your help. In that effort, we are launching Raising the Bar(n) our Capital Campaign to fund our endeavors.
What is Raising the Bar(n)?
1) First and foremost, we are “Raising the Bar” on our present activities. While our current programming is excellent and very successful, we are challenging ourselves to raise the bar, to make our theater meet – and exceed – the expectations and wishes of our patrons and members. The bar is already set quite high on our current programming, but we at the Barn feel, that with your help, we can elevate our community theater to new heights.
2) In the spirit of a good old fashioned “Barn Raising”, we are asking the community to come together and help us build a better Barn. Our theater is a community theater - and nothing about that is going to change. Our volunteers and patrons, actors and production staff, are all members of the community. And while we are proud of the way we serve our community - both the theater community, and the Ridgefield community - we wholeheartedly believe we can expand our role, to the betterment of both communities. But we need your support.
3) Similarly to “Raising” a child, so too, we are raising the Barn, and hope that, with your support, we can grow to our potential.
4) Finally, this endeavor will not be successful without “Raising” funds! All such efforts require money to succeed and ours is no different. We envision expanded programming and, potentially, expanded physical space, both of which carry capital and administrative costs that need to be met.
First, you can spread the word about the Theater Barn and what we are trying to accomplish.
Second, you can donate . We would be grateful for any contribution you can give, whether a one-time donation, or sustaining membership donation.
And finally, we are always happy to have volunteers, but especially now when we are looking to expand, looking to increase awareness, and looking to increase funding.
If you’d like more information about our expansion, keep checking back to this space, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are thrilled to announce that the blueprints for our expansion plan were approved last week by the town's zoning board. Read all about it!
