Auditions for The House of Blue Leaves

Open auditions for The House of Blue Leaves, winner of numerous Tony and Drama Critic Awards will be held at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT on Sunday, June 29th from 6 to 8 pm and Monday, June 30th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Rehearsals will be held evenings and some weekends from late-July until opening night, September 5th.

Directed by Will Jeffries, performances continue Friday and Saturday evenings through September 27th with Sunday matinees September 14th and 21st; additional performances may be added.
 

Character Breakdown for The House of Blue Leaves

1. Artie Shaughnessy - working class man
2. Ronnie Shaughnessy - son of Artie and Bananas, in the army, very misunderstood
3. Bunny Flingus - girlfriend of Artie.  Very outspoken and runs Artie.
4. Bananas Shaughnessy - not mentally stable wife of Artie.
5. Corinna Stroller - girlfriend of Billy Einhorn
6. Billy Einhorn - friend of Artie.  Has made a big name for himself as a Hollywood producer
7. Policeman - any age
8. The White Man - any age
9. Three nuns - varying ages
 
Ages are flexible based on ensemble
New York accents preferred
Sides will be provided at the auditions....pre-reading of the script is a plus
