We are pleased to announce our new adult workshop to kick off our 2010-11 season. This workshop is just the 'ticket' to help you get ready for upcoming opportunities to audition or perfect your acting techniques.

FUNDAMENTALS OF IMPROV
The coach and director of the RTB's wildy successful in-house improv comedy troupe "Role in the Hay Players" will be offering classes in Improv at the Barn!
The classes will be 8 weeks long, and will end with a performace at the RTB for friends and family.
If you like the show, Whose Line IS IT Anyway?, then these courses are right up your alley. Many of the techniques employed in improv are based on teamwork concepts. In addition to the humor, improv can improve your ability to "think on your feet," and has been known to help with public speaking and assertiveness.
In addition to being a founding member and coach of the RITHP for almost five years, Rick trained with the Gotham City Improv in NYC and performed in their ensembles for two years (a group of the famous LA Groundlings who moved to NYC and started a school). He has also been training with the Upright Citizen's Brigade in NYC (a group that was stated in part by Amy Poehler from Saturday Night Live, graduates from which are appearing in The Office and major motion pictures). Rick recently directed Godspell at the Barn, the highest grossing show in the history of the RTB!
Instructor: Rick Hodder
Session: 8 weeks (2 hours per week)
When: Beginning September 14, and running Tuesdays through November 2, 2010, 7-9 pm
Cost: Members: $320, Non-Members: $340
